COMEDY AT THE ACADEMY: Coming late Spring 2012 DOM COLLINS, top Manchester funny-man and comedy songwriter will be hosting a six-week comedy workshop each Tuesday where the participants will take part in a real, live gig! Places are limited to 20, and all ages from teens are welcome. The course will cover material, delivery, timing, hecklers, performance, dress and so much more. The MBM agents will be present at the live gig and all participants will receive a certificate and a video of their performance. Dom is a regular at The Comedy Club and currently host at Bernard Manning's Embassy Club, but his show is 100% clean comedy! We are constantly adding to our list of courses and workshops to include as many facets of performing arts and showbiz as possible. We use seasoned professionals as mentors and coaches for all of our workshops and practically all of our workshops culminate in some real-world experience - usually a live 'gig'. CELEBRITY WORKSHOP with SHOBNA GULATI A two-hour session from looking at Performance Techniques and more from the star of Corrie, Dinner Ladies and so much more!
VOCAL COACHING A six-week course culminating in a live gig at a real venue and/or an audition before the MBM Agency team. 1-hr Vocal Coaching sessions are also available every Tuesday at 6:00pm and 7:00pm (see timetable)
DJ SKILLS A six-week course for already competent instrumentalists who wish to enhance their skill set in a number of ways. Courses are tailored to particular music styles using musicians' musicians as coaches.
GUITAR TIPS&TRICKS A six-week course for already competent instrumentalists who wish to enhance their skill set in a number of ways. Courses are tailored to particular music styles using musicians' musicians as coaches.
KARAOKE PRESENTATION A six-week course for beginners who wish to take up karaoke presentation. The course covers everything from equipment (hardware and software) to real presentation skills culminating in a live gig at a real venue and/or an audition before the MBM Agency team.
