ABOUT THE MBM ACADEMY...

Formed in 1993, MBM started life as Music Business Management operating as an entertainment agency mainly within the confines of the North-West of England. The company now supplies some of the finest hotels, cruise lines, holiday parks and blue-chip corporate clients with one of the biggest selections of live entertainment available in the UK today. Since 1998 the company has also gone on to become a serious artiste-management company a penchant for seeking out new talent.

Founders of MBM, Philip and Anne Barrett acquired the MBM Academy (formerly 'The Academy' in May 2011. The dance and performing arts school will be an excellent vehicle to work in conjunction with the existing agency and artiste-management company, to nurture and recruit new talent… all the way to the top! Janine Green and Paeter Yarker became directors / co-owners in January 2012.

The MBM Academy is a Social Enterprise Business serving the community on a 'not for profit' basis. We are passionate about bringing some fun and culture to the youth of Rochdale via our school of dance, fitness and performing arts. Because we really have been in 'the business' for a very long time, we hope that we can make a real difference and create some very real careers / jobs for our students in the wide world of showbiz.
